Listening To Those Who Grieve

‘Tis the season to be jolly. But what if that is not what you are feeling?  What if someone you know and love is languishing in sadness and grief?  What do you say and do?  This time of year can be especially difficult for those whose loss is just under the surface on any day.  Is it alright to check in with the grieving?

At Buzzy’s Bees we think so.  In fact, that was the inspiration for the Give Grief a Voice project.  Our founder, Amanda, discovered that one of the best ways to support grieving parents was to listen. Telling the stories of the little ones gone too soon was healing.  The story crafted by a professional writer that inspires a work of art as a gift to each family is the purpose of Give Grief a Voice.

In 2020 we were able to reach out to eleven families with this project.  Today, and in the coming weeks, we are sharing a glimpse of the stories and the art they received.  Each family had a unique experience.  Our hope is that you will be inspired to listen to those who grieve.  It is a gift you can offer this holiday time.
