Fulfilling Buzzy’s Bees mission relies on the time and  enthusiasm of dedicated volunteers. That is why we enthusiastically welcome Andrew Smidt as a new member of our board. Though he will join us in this new role for him, he is no stranger to Buzzy’s Bees.

Andrew is grandpa, affectionately known as Gpa, to Hudson and his siblings, Calvin and Brooklyn. He has always been a great support for Buzzy’s Bees, especially helping out with the golf event and generally lending a hand where needed. Since he has recently retired he is able to offer more focused time and energy, which led him to apply to serve on the board. 

We gratefully welcome Andrew and look forward to his perspective and hands-on commitment as we seek to fulfill the mission to support families through the unexpected loss of a young child.
